Defaulting to "De-Select All Objects"

Postby Bkube » Thu Mar 28, 2013 10:38 pm

Hello,
We are experiencing some issues with people inadvertently making changes to our systems. One of our "best practices" with SQL Delta is to ALWAYS-FIRST De-Select All Objects after a compare. Unfortunately this policy isn't sticking very well, so my question is:

Is there a way to make the Update checkboxes De-Selected by default?
(they are currently ALL Selected upon a Compare)

Perhaps an Options menu setting I haven't stumbled across or reg setting? Or ?
Thanks!

Hi,

Currently there isn't an option to change the default process which is to check all.

In version 6 you can set a project to de-check all as a start-up "filter" or even de-check all and then check a set of objects every time a compare runs. Of course this isn't lockable so the user could change the default.

Out of interest would a "read-only" Delta be something of interest? This is not something even version 6 can do however I'm just interested to know if its a feature we should consider.
