Support and information about SQL Delta for SQL Server Version 5

SQL Server 2012

Hi,
We are evaluating the product with a view to purchase, can you please advise us of your roadmap for the product including the SQL 2012 support. The demo version downloaded for trial works against the SQL 2012 product although shows as 2008 servers.
The other question relates to license renewals after the initial 2year period where downloads are provided. Is renewal at the same cost as the original purchase or is there a different price for upgrades / continuing support

Hi Chris,

The current version supports 2012 except for sequences and a few other relatively low use 2012 database features.

Version 6 is in beta and fully supports 2000 to 2012 as well as supporting Azure. Version 6 is a completely new SQL Delta with tabbed interface to run multiple schema or data compare projects at the same time.

Currently we include a 2 year update subscription in the purchase price and this subscription provides updates to any level, eg. to version 6. Currently at the end of the 2 years the subscription renewal price is half the "at the time" purchase price for the same number of licenses originally purchased.

With the release of version 6 there will be price increases, a change of product types and a change to the update subscription model. I don't have any more information including the new pricing details yet.

However these proposed changes also mean by purchasing now you will get version 5 plus version 6 at effectively a discount plus a guaranteed 2 years of free updates.

Regards
David
